Young Audience Looking For Artists to Teach

Young Audiences is looking to hire artists in all art forms for teaching artist positions at this coming summer's Summer Arts & Learning Academy (July 9-August 10, 2018)

Artists in the program use their art to educate children in literacy and math, and to engage them in art experiences. The program also includes extensive training as a Teaching Artist.

The positions available are:

Full-day Teaching Artists:

- Receive a competitive salary ($8,750 for the five-week Academy and one week of professional development) - Receive 40 hours of paid training (if needed, based on experience) in arts integration and classroom instruction (January-April) - Join a nurturing, collaborative, and creative community of people that are dedicated to the young people of our city

Half-day Artist Apprentices:

- Receive $15/hour to support Teaching Artists in their afternoon arts classes during the five-week Academy and three days of professional development (a limited number of full-day slots will be available)
